Job summary

SpaceX in Texas seeks an Automation Engineer for the Blades and Vanes Foundry to design, develop, and maintain core control systems at the cutting edge of investment casting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics or computer science.
• Experience designing and commissioning automation/control for industrial applications.

Responsibilities

• Integrate electromechanical systems with investment casting equipment.
• Design and develop data systems, analyze KPI trends, and optimize production.
• Implement data collection/storage using Python/SQL interfacing MES/databases.
• Create and optimize HMI/SCADA/MES interfaces and apply predictive analytics.
• Lay out electrical control panels and create electrical/pneumatic schematics.
• Develop PLC code that is well-structured and maintainable.
• Ensure safety systems comply with ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA standards.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
