Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Automation Engineer to work on-site in Liberty, North Carolina, supporting the Battery Manufacturing Production Engineering team as they expand the world's largest Battery Manufacturing Plant.

The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical engineering principles, PLCs, robotics, and safety systems, with a focus on continuous improvement and safe operation in a high-volume plant.

Qualifications

• 5+ years reading, writing, and modifying Program Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Experience with Electrical and/or Mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Test and repair electrical equipment or systems (circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives).
• Write, program, troubleshoot, modify PLCs, robotics, cameras, and other equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair safety systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Plan and execute machine integration into mass production.
• Document work with detailed schedules for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with team members and engineers.
