Job summary

TRIAD Engineering Corp in Massachusetts seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, and commission advanced automation and control systems, bridging hardware and software interfaces to deliver reliable process solutions.

You will program PLCs, configure HMIs and SCADA, lead FAT/SAT, travel to client sites, troubleshoot complex faults, and collaborate with process engineers and designers to translate needs into robust automated sequences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
3–5 years of hands-on industrial automation experience.
Foundational PLC programming experience.
Willingness to travel up to ~10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Architect and program control systems using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA platforms.
Set up and troubleshoot Ethernet/IP and OPC networks and protocols.
Lead FAT and SAT activities and coordinate commissioning at client sites.
Travel to client facilities for commissioning, debugging, and startup operations.
Diagnose and resolve faults across hardware, software, and instrumentation.
Collaborate with process engineers and design teams to translate requirements into automated sequences.
