Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking an Automation Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical and healthcare products manufacturer for a permanent onsite position located in Wilson, NC. The Automation Engineer will drive automation initiatives, optimize control systems, and support manufacturing technology improvements across production operations.

The responsibilities include designing, programming, and maintaining automation, supporting PLC/HMI/SCADA, troubleshooting issues, participating in process

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
Experience supporting PLC and HMI in a manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of industrial networking and control system architecture.
Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
Strong project management and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and maintain industrial automation and control systems.
Support PLC, HMI, SCADA, and related manufacturing technologies.
Troubleshoot automation issues and implement corrective actions.
Participate in process improvement and equipment modernization projects.
Develop and maintain system documentation and validation records.
