Job summary
Arxada is seeking an Automation Engineer at our Williamsport, PA site to design, deploy, and sustain advanced automation systems for safe, compliant manufacturing operations.
You will drive automation improvements, partner with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams, and ensure systems achieve high uptime and reliability in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, or related Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in industrial automation or control systems in manufacturing.
- Strong experience with PLCs (Rockwell CompactLogix/MicroLogix) and HMI development.
- Experience with robotics systems and commissioning of automated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and improve automated manufacturing systems (PLCs, HMIs, robotics, safety interlocks).
- Define and maintain automation architectures to maximize uptime and safety.
- Develop and validate control logic, HMI interfaces, and scripts (FAT/SAT).
- Lead commissioning and startup activities with cross-functional teams.
- Provide troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to minimize downtime.
