Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer III in Plano, TX to join an agile team within the Commercial and Investment Bank. You will design and deliver secure, scalable software and contribute to critical technology solutions across multiple business functions.

You will work with Core Java, automation tools, AI-assisted development, and modern SDLC practices to improve code quality, testing, and delivery speed while ensuring security and resiliency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applied software engineering experience and formal training or certification in software concepts.
• Experience with automated testing and modern SDLC tooling.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to design secure, scalable software and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting across complex problems.
• Produces secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Leverages AI-assisted coding tools to improve quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Applies SDLC tools and automation to improve value realization.
• Produces architecture/design artifacts and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes large data sets to visualize and improve software applications.
• Identify patterns and data insights to drive code and system improvements.
