Becton, Dickinson and Company in North Carolina is seeking a Manufacturing/Automation Engineer to support automated filling lines, troubleshoot vision systems, and drive process improvements in a regulated medical device environment.

You will perform IQ/OQ/PQ validation, investigate deviations, and partner with Maintenance to improve OEE, uptime, and yields while ensuring FDA, GMP, and ISO 13485 compliance.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics or automation engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience programming Allen Bradley PLC systems (RSLogix/Studio 5000).
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks and ISO 13485/GMP requirements.
• Experience with automated high-speed filling, capping, or packaging lines.

Mansioni

• Provide daily engineering support for automated filling lines, troubleshooting variability, downtime, and line inefficiencies.
• Troubleshoot automation and vision system hardware, software, and mechanical issues to rapidly restore functionality.
• Lead installation, qualification, and validation activities for new automation platforms and upgrades.
• Lead investigations and root-cause analyses for deviations, equipment failures, and performance issues.
• Monitor and improve OEE, yield, downtime, and scrap using data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with maintenance to develop RCAs and solutions across production equipment.
• Design, modify, and document mechanical components and tooling with CAD.
• Participate in IQ/OQ/PQ validation and maintain compliant documentation (SOPs, WIs).
• Ensure adherence to FDA QMSR, ISO 13485, and GMP requirements.
