Job summary

Lilly, headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, is expanding its Automation Engineering team to support the Medicine Foundry startup and ongoing GMP manufacturing. The role focuses on delivering robust control systems, validating equipment, and ensuring compliant, efficient operations across multiple project phases through 2025–2028.

Initial location is Indianapolis with eventual permanent placement at the new Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon, Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required. Industrial automation exposure is preferred.
• Experience with GMP environments and validated systems is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and MES systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide automation support across site operations and capital projects.
• Participate in design reviews, FATs, and system qualification activities.
• Troubleshoot control loops, engage instrument and process control professionals.
• Develop and review functional requirements, design specs, and test documents.
