Job summary

TC Energy Corp. is seeking an Automation Engineer or Technologist to support safe and reliable operation of control systems at compressor stations and facilities. You will diagnose issues, implement fixes, and guide upgrades across PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation.

The role demands strong analytical skills, with a focus on safety, reliability, and collaboration with field operations. Hybrid work is offered in the US and Canada, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical program.
Six or more years of related experience.
Strong analytical and root-cause troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Provide direct technical support to field operations for automation, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
Diagnose malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, networks, data acquisition systems, and related equipment.
Coordinate software changes and control-logic updates per change-management and documentation requirements.
Support capital projects through design review, commissioning, testing, and validation.
