Job summary

Lilly is constructing a new Houston-based facility to support API manufacturing. The Principal Automation Engineer – Building Management Systems will help design and implement site BMS, integrate systems with engineering teams, and ensure readiness for GMP operations as the site scales.

The role emphasizes collaboration with A&E firms, system integrators, and IT to deliver validated, compliant automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline required.
• 3+ years of experience in Building Management/Building Automation Systems.
• 3+ years of experience in Process Automation with Rockwell, Metasys, or Desigo.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver automation platforms and system integration for site BMS.
• Support site buildings’ automation and control system design and commissioning.
• Collaborate with A&E firms, system integrators, and IT teams.
• Develop requirements/specifications for software/hardware design and testing.
• Deliver validated computer systems and site procedures for automation platforms.
• Provide technical oversight during equipment and process design reviews.
