Job summary

RGBSI is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain advanced automated systems across manufacturing operations, boosting efficiency and reliability.

You will work with robotics and control systems, program PLCs/HMI, troubleshoot issues, and drive Industry 4.0 initiatives while ensuring safety and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, CS or related field.
  • 3–5 years of automation/controls experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of robotics and industrial automation.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, VFDs, SCADA.
  • Proficiency with Rockwell Automation software.
  • CAD experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks.
  • Lean manufacturing familiarity.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automated systems to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Identify and implement projects around Industry 4.0 methodology.
  • Program and integrate software solutions for production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation and control system issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation across operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance, testing, and upgrades on automated systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop training materials and train staff on automation equipment operation.
  • Document automation processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.
  • Partner with vendors to evaluate and implement new technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • The Automation Engineer is accountable for the design, development, and maintenance of advanced automated systems that strengthen efficiency, reliability, and scalability within manufacturing operations, serving as a critical contributor to operational excellence and continuous innovation. From robotics and control systems to software integration and process optimization, this role combines technical expertise with problem-solving creativity to deliver world-class automation solutions.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design, develop, and implement automated systems to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Identify, design, and implement projects around Industry 4.0 methodology.
  • Program and integrate software solutions for production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation and control system issues.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in automation, controls, or related fields; certifications a plus.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of robotics, electro-mechanical systems, and industrial automation.
  • Hands‑on experience with PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, VFDs, SCADA, and IT network protocols.
  • Proficiency with Rockwell Automation programming software.
  • Experience with Ignition, Python, or similar software preferred.
  • Skilled in CAD software for automation schematics that includes AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Solid Works.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
