Job summary

Scientific Search is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to join our Ramsey, NJ team. You will develop PLC and SCADA systems, work directly with customers, and play a key role from design through commissioning in highly regulated environments.

You will design and implement RSLogix-based control apps, create SCADA solutions, and develop the necessary specifications, tests, and documentation to ensure compliant, validated systems. Occasional travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering Technology.
• Experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs and SCADA applications.
• Knowledge of SQL databases, instrumentation, and control system design.
• Understanding of cGMP environments and validation practices.
• Valid driver's license with willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC applications using RSLogix for ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and PLC-5.
• Design SCADA applications using Wonderware and/or GE iFIX.
• Create functional specifications, test protocols, and system documentation.
• Configure databases, virtualization, and industrial hardware.
• Commission systems, support validation, and provide customer training.
