Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join a Salesforce-focused testing team in a hybrid Indianapolis environment. You will design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Playwright across Service Cloud and Experience Cloud integrations.

You\'ll partner with Salesforce developers, business analysts, and QA to translate requirements into robust test cases, integrate tests into CI/CD, and ensure release-ready quality across multiple clouds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Playwright test scripting and UI automation experience.
• Experience automating tests in Salesforce environments.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Develop unit tests and UI automation for Salesforce components and APIs.
• Collaborate with Salesforce Developers, BAs, and QA to translate requirements into tests.
• Ensure automated tests are integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct regression, functional, and end-to-end testing across releases.
• Log defects and work with developers on resolutions.
• Participate in code reviews and sprint ceremonies in an Agile/Scrum team.
• Stay current with automation tools and Salesforce testing practices.

Duration: 6 Month Contract - Potential for Extension or Conversion

About the Opportunity

You will work closely with Salesforce Developers and Scrum teams within an agile environment to enhance and maintain automated testing frameworks across multiple Salesforce Clouds - including Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, and Experience Cloud. You'll help ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of critical systems and integrations that support our client’s digital platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright and related testing tools.
• Develop and execute unit tests and UI automation for Salesforce components, APIs, and integrated systems.
• Partner with Salesforce Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated test cases.
• Ensure all automated tests are properly integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct thorough regression, functional, and end-to-end testing to ensure system reliability across releases.
• Identify, log, and track defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies as part of an agile Scrum team.
• Stay current with evolving automation tools, frameworks, and Salesforce testing best practices.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent work experience.
• Strong experience building and executing automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Solid understanding of unit testing, test automation, and test-driven development (TDD) methodologies.
• Experience performing automation testing within Salesforce environments, including Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
• Familiarity with Salesforce data structures, APIs, and Lightning components.
• Experience using version control systems (Git, SVN) and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in validating complex system integrations.
• Experience working with data modeling, SQL, and relational databases.
• Salesforce Certifications (Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer I) are a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Selenium or other automation testing frameworks.
• Background in API testing with tools such as Postman or ReadyAPI.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud Voice or other cloud telephony integrations.
• Experience testing within AWS or .NET environments.
