Job summary

IFF is seeking an Automation Manager to lead automation, controls, and industrial technology across our fragrance manufacturing facility. You will drive reliability, safety, quality, and efficiency while guiding cross-functional teams in Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and EHS.

The role requires expert PLC/SCADA knowledge, project leadership, and a track record in Lean/TPM environments. You will develop strategies, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; Master's preferred.
  • 7–10 years in industrial automation, controls engineering, or manufacturing technology.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in high-speed manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead automation projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
  • Oversee PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and MES programming modifications and lifecycle planning.
  • Develop backup, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery strategies for automation systems.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and EHS to meet goals.
  • Develop performance metrics, budgets, and specifications for capital projects.
