Job summary

Shannon - Offshore Support is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team in Charlotte, NC (CLT). The role is 3 days onsite weekly with a pay range of $60-$65/hr.

You will design, develop and maintain automated testing for mobile applications and tablets, building scalable frameworks and leading code reviews to raise the bar for test automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Appium, including developing and documenting test UI automation and application framework enhancements in Java + Appium.
• Java and Shell Scripting (MUST).
• Mobile test automation with Appium (MUST), plus experience with Selenium TestNG.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mobile automation frameworks that support software quality.
• Work with Product and Engineering teams to turn requirements into reliable automated testing.
• Build and maintain regression automation that adapts to changing features and requirements.
• Collaborate in a team environment with limited guidance to deliver results.

Our client, Shannon - Offshore Support is seeking a Automation Engineer to join their team.

Job Title: Automation Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC (CLT) - 3 days a week onsite Pay Range: $60-$65/hr

What's the Job?

Innovate to uncover issues during the development phase and improve overall software quality for mobile applications and tablets. Implement new testing frameworks for future products and features, with a focus on scalable, maintainable automation. Design, develop, and enhance automated solutions covering unit testing, functional testing, UI testing, and performance testing. Lead code review of standards, procedures, tools, and quality improvement processes to raise the bar for test automation. Maintain automated regression suites/packages to stay compliant with changing requirements and evolving features.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Appium, including developing and documenting test UI automation and application framework enhancements in Java + Appium.
• Java and Shell Scripting (MUST).
• Mobile test automation with Appium (MUST), plus experience with Selenium TestNG.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Testing (manual QA background is acceptable as part of the overall experience), including building automation frameworks from scratch or using open-source tools.
