Job summary

Helion is hiring a Level 1 Process Controls Engineer in Apple Grove, WV. The role focuses on commissioning, troubleshooting, and improving control of speed, flow, temperature, and other process variables in a heavy industrial steel facility.

You'll diagnose PLC logic, test sensors, analyze alarms and trends, and work closely with operators, maintenance, engineers, and equipment suppliers to raise reliability and product quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in industrial controls or process automation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and closed-loop control.

$75-85/hour, depending on experience

Monday-Friday, 7 AM-4 PM

Help commission and ramp up a major new steel manufacturing facility, then take ownership of improving equipment reliability, production performance, and product quality.

We're looking for someone who understands how machines work and can use controls to make them run better.

What you'll do:

• A relevant four-year degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Steel experience is valuable. Strong manufacturing controls experience, curiosity, and a record of solving plant problems are equally worth discussing.
