Essential Functions

• Assists with the development and implementation of automation systems or components.
• Supports or performs the program installation, testing, and maintenance of robots or automated components.
• Assists in the commissioning and deployment of new automation installations, conducts field trials to ensure appropriate operation, and prepares reports or records documenting actions or findings.
• Investigates and troubleshoots defects or bugs, completes repairs and provides preventative maintenance.
• Maintains the inventory of supplies and tools used for testing and maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset; No prior experience needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree
• Technical training preferred
• Oral and written communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, detail oriented, problem-solving skills, mathematic skills, computer skills, technical skills, technical troubleshooting, test documentation, control systems.

Physical Requirements

• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
