Job summary

Universal Leaf North America in Nash Facility is the premier supplier of quality, compliant, and sustainable tobaccos and services. As an Electronics Specialist, you will monitor electronic equipment and assist in the design and installation of equipment to support production.

You will repair and maintain electronic factory equipment, ensuring control functions are accurate and safe, while coordinating with maintenance teams to optimize throughput and efficiency across lines.

Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalent training in electronics or engineering.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems in manufacturing.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities in electrical/electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain electronic factory equipment.
Install, calibrate, and maintain control systems (Siemens TIA PLCs, sensors, PID actuators, HMIs).
Troubleshoot electrical and network issues (Profinet/Profibus) to minimize downtime.
Analyze system data and adjust parameters for efficiency and safety.
Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for upgrades and repairs.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and calibration logs.
Ensure safety compliance (lockout/tagout, machine guarding).
