(https://mtlcraftautomationgroup.com/)Reporting to the Electro-Mechanical Technician Manager; the Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical assembly, installation, and support of automation systems throughout several manufacturing industries from start to finish.Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and maintain automation systems
- Perform inspections on automation systems to determine potential startup issues
- Align and fit electrical and mechanical assemblies
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance on installed automation systems
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Interact with engineering staff both verbally and in written form
- Participate in project reviews to help ensure projects are completed on time and budget consistent with customers' expectations
- Operate in a team environment to help meet or exceed customer expectations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience in an Electro-Mechanical Technician role or related field
- Solid math skills and ability to read and convert measurements
- Experience with power tools and hand tools
- Able to read electrical and mechanical blueprints
- Experience in electrical panel building
- Effectively follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks
- Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe working environment
- Self-motivated and team oriented
- Quality driven with attention to detail
- Able to effectively communicate with team members to complete tasks
- Problem solving skills
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office products
