Job summary

Steven Douglas Corp designs, engineers, and builds custom automation machines across industries. Industrial Electricians are responsible for wiring and electrical assembly per specifications in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

The role emphasizes building and wiring machines, interpreting electrical drawings, and collaborating with project teams to debug and ensure successful installations. On-site work, overtime, and safety are core expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong Industrial Electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Ability to read pneumatic and electrical schematics is a plus.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.
• Team-oriented with good communication.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Overtime may be required.
• On-site training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build and wire custom machines based on engineering documentation.
• Panel building and wiring.
• Primarily electrical but some mechanical and pneumatic assembly may be required.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, sketches, and specifications for electrical installations.
• Plan layouts and install electrical wiring, fixtures, and control equipment in control cabinets.
• Mounting, fastening, drilling and tapping, placing, leveling, plumbing pneumatics and/or other tube and pipe-based systems.
• Debug, troubleshoot and solve machine challenges with the project team.
• Support machine building through acceptance testing, including on-site start-ups.
• Assist with packing outgoing equipment and packaging machinery.
• Maintain diligent workplace safety and cleanliness.
