Job summary

OBE in Covington, GA, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for the day shift to maintain and repair electrical, controls, and automation on high-speed production machines in glass manufacturing.

You’ll diagnose faults, read schematics, calibrate components, perform mechanical support, ensure safety, and participate in a responsive maintenance team with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must diagnose, repair, and overhaul electrical systems on high‑speed production machinery.
• Proficient with PLCs, drivers, sensors, motors, and industrial control systems.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems for troubleshooting.
• Experience using CMMS for maintenance documentation.
• Demonstrates strong attendance and flexibility to work various shifts/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical, controls, and automation performance for multiple automated machines.
• Observe operation, monitor control systems, and ensure proper function of PLCs, drivers, sensors, and motors.
• Diagnose electrical faults, trace wiring issues, and identify root causes of malfunctions.
• Repair or replace electrical components, sensors, relays, drivers, and control devices; calibrate and test.
• Provide mechanical support to enable electrical/controls functionality.
• Stop machines when faults occur and perform corrective actions safely.
