Job summary

Novelis in Ashville, OH has an opportunity to participate in our on-site summer 2027 internship. The team is seeking an Automation/Electrical Engineering Intern that can join the team for approximately 12 weeks. The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in relevant work and gain hands on industry experience.

The role reports to the Quality Manager and will gain experience with monitoring the quality data from which the organization makes informed decisions.

Qualifications

Pursuing a 4-year degree in electrical, automation, mechatronics or related field.
Sophomore, junior, or senior status and hands-on interest.
Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact across levels.

Responsibilities

Support automation and controls improvement projects.
Assist with PLC/HMI documentation updates.
Collect and analyze equipment performance data.
Support reliability and preventive maintenance initiatives.
Assist with electrical drawings and field verification.
