Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years in industrial automation or controls.
- Proficient with AutoCAD for schematics and panel layouts.
- Knowledge of power distribution, safety, and machine safety.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for custom automation equipment.
- Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts in AutoCAD.
- Select drives, motors, sensors, PLC hardware, safety devices.
- Develop machine control architectures for automation, robotics, motion control, and material handling.
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers on PLC integration and HMI development.
- Support panel fabrication, wiring, and troubleshooting during builds.
- Assist with startup, commissioning, and customer deployment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Occasionally provide onsite startup support at customer facilities.
- Work cross-functionally with mechanical engineers, machinists, technicians, and project managers.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
