Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and execute robust test strategies for hardware products. You will design automated test systems, fixtures, and qualification plans, and work closely with multiple engineering teams during development.

The role requires Python-based automation, experience with lab instruments, and the ability to interpret schematics and PCB layouts. You will mentor junior engineers as part of a hands-on, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in test engineering or related hardware development.
• Strong Python programming skills for test automation.
• Experience developing automated test software and communicating with instruments and DUTs.
• Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering drawings.
• Experience using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test strategies and design automated test systems and fixtures.
• Drive test engineering activities proactively throughout project cycles.
• Specify, develop, and execute qualification test plans and procedures for products.
• Collaborate with engineering teams during the development cycle.
• Investigate failures and drive issues to closure.
• Design efficient and scalable test solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers in the team.
