Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc in Boston is seeking a Process Development Scientific Associate Co-Op to join the Upstream PD-CGT group. You will help automate the daily media exchange process for the 2L STR bioreactor culture and learn hands-on with hESC culture and process automation.

As a co‑op, you will design an automated script to enable media exchange without operator input, document results in the electronic notebook, and contribute to a final project summary detailing efficiency gains and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with cell culture and aseptic technique is preferred
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design automated process for daily bioreactor media exchange.
• Support CPI process with the automated script and document observations.
• Document methods and results in ELN, including workflow and testing.
• Author or assist in SOP for automated media exchange.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and incorporate feedback.
• Deliver a final project summary describing automation approach and efficiency gains.
