Job summary

JMS Talent Partners is recruiting for a manufacturing engineer for a Buffalo, NY medical device manufacturer. This on-site, full-time role focuses on automation and advanced manufacturing, leading projects from concept through implementation and acting as SME in automation, robotics, and process optimization.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering (master's preferred) and 2–5 years in manufacturing, with PLCs, vision systems, and Lean/Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 2–5 years in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience with automation, robotics, PLCs, and vision systems.
• Knowledge of ISO/FDA quality requirements and Lean Six Sigma.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for equipment platforms; lead troubleshooting and onboarding.
• Lead automation and robotics initiatives; scope and integrate.
• Use data analysis to identify trends and improve quality and profitability.
• Design and refine manufacturing processes for efficiency.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Drive CI projects aligned with quality, cost, performance goals.
• Support digital transformation across engineering and production.
• Manage customer-driven development projects and meet expectations.
• Manage complex engineering projects with milestone delivery.
