Job summary

URBN, located in Kansas City, Kansas, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated systems, conveyors, and facility equipment. You will respond to equipment issues and support preventive maintenance.

The role requires a reliable mechanical aptitude and the ability to read schematics; you will work with a team in a fast-paced environment and participate in continuous improvement and RCA efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with automation, conveyors, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and perform basic PLC troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment (up to 480V).
• Maintain motors, VFDs, sensors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshot automation systems (conveyors, sortation, ASRS, packaging equipment).
• Resolve jams, sensor faults, and minor electrical or pneumatic failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system calibrations.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics; perform basic PLC/HMI diagnostics.
• Document work orders and maintenance activities in CMMS.
• Identify equipment issues and support continuous improvement and RCA efforts.
• Collaborate with team members, vendors, and support staff; assist junior technicians.
