Job summary

Black Hills Energy in Casper, WY is seeking a Gas Tech Services professional to safely install and maintain control systems and automation equipment.

This role will involve installing, inspecting, maintaining, calibrating SCADA/ PLC systems, meters, and electrical distribution, with travel up to 25%. No prior experience required; training provided. A valid driver's license and strong safety culture are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required; training provided.
• Understanding of natural gas measurement and AGA standards.
• Basic math skills.
• Intermediate digital literacy.
• Good verbal and written communication; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work in a team, follow directions, keep schedules, and follow safety rules.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and be able to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, operates, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and adjusts various PLC control systems and SCADA equipment.
• Performs inspection and maintenance checks on control systems.
• Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution.
• Install conduit, pull and terminate wiring, and perform testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate transmission meters, gauges, transmitters and related equipment.
• Work safely around energized electrical equipment following safety procedures, codes, and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Oversee electrical construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
• Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping.
• Perform all work in compliance with Company Standards, procedures, regulatory and tariff requirements.
• Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
