Job summary

Black Hills Energy is seeking an Instrument & Electronic Specialist in Cheyenne, WY to safely check, test, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and plant electrical systems. You will support start-up/shutdown and emergency actions, and coordinate daily maintenance activities for DCS, PLCs, CEMS and related equipment.

Minimum four years at a combined cycle/gas turbine plant or equivalent facility; strong safety awareness and ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

High school diploma required and experience in a power plant or related industrial facility.
Experience calibrating and maintaining process control equipment and instrumentation.
Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.
Knowledge of plant safety and operating procedures.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily and PM maintenance for instrumentation, controls and electronic equipment (DCS, PLCs, CEMS, VRs, PSS).
Coordinate maintenance for plant electrical systems (AC/DC, battery banks, chargers, inverters).
Support start-up, shutdown and emergency actions; assist in operating and monitoring plant operations.
Review logs, schedules and daily files; update records and reports.
