State Group Automation is seeking an experienced Controls Technician to join a team delivering turnkey automation projects across North America. You will engage in PLC/SCADA checkout, commissioning, and startup activities, collaborating with customers, contractors, and engineers to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Qualifications include 2+ years in a controls or automation role and an associate degree or equivalent in Electrical Technology or Mechatronics.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Controls Technician or similar.
- Associate degree or a two-year diploma in Electrical Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance.
- Experience reading schematics and troubleshooting control hardware.
Responsabilités
- Comply with safety requirements and promote a positive safety culture.
- Support project execution by coordinating with customers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Perform PLC I/O checkout, testing, and commissioning activities per documentation.
- Configure PLCs, HMIs, networks, field devices, and industrial communications.
- Troubleshoot equipment and provide feedback on system performance.
- Verify installations against drawings and field conditions; report discrepancies.
