Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a highly automated distribution facility seeking a skilled Maintenance Controls Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment to ensure reliability and performance of sophisticated material handling and automation systems. Location Buckeye, AZ; Pay $40.00-$46.00 per hour; Schedule 2nd shift, 3pm-1:30am (Working Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat).

Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs, automation controls, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC fundamentals.
• Understanding of 3-phase power systems, MCCs, and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, including CompactLogix and ControlLogix.
• Able to work independently and safely with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Perform preventive maintenance on controls systems and material handling equipment.
• Support conveyors, sortation systems, and other automated equipment.
• Analyze system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs.
• Work with engineers and vendors on controls installations and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and parts inventory.
