Job summary

Flex-N-Gate is seeking a Maintenance Controls Technician to install, calibrate and maintain automated industrial machinery at our facility. The role ensures smooth operation, rapid response to issues, and ongoing reliability of control systems.

Responsibilities include testing, retrofitting, start-up support, automation process creation, and supervising testing with quality and safety compliance. Strong technical skills and self‑driven work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year degree or technical certificate program.
• 3 to 5 years manufacturing experience with strong technical knowledge in programming, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
• Superior analytical capabilities.
• Problem-solving and decision-making.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and oversee implementation of new processes.
• Install retrofits to existing systems and troubleshoot hardware, software, and instrument problems.
• Supports start-up activities.
• Create and maintain automation processes.
• Over-see testing procedures, writing reports and ensuring instruments comply with quality standards and safety regulations.
• Available for support calls 24/7.
• Install, diagnose and fix programmable logic controllers and other devices that operate automated equipment.
