Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a controls technician to maintain and improve the reliability of automated production equipment. The role requires troubleshooting to minimize interruptions and a strong electrical aptitude with comfort using industrial controls software.

Responsibilities include leading electricians on shift, configuring HMIs/PLCs, supporting preventive maintenance, and collaborating with controls engineering on projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience wiring and programming PLCs and control devices.
  • Familiarity with HMIs, VFDs, and sensors in manufacturing.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and ladder logic knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical/automation troubleshooting on shift and assist others.
  • Install, configure, maintain, or replace control devices (HMIs, VFDs, PLCs).
  • Support preventive maintenance and equipment start-ups.
  • Calibrate electrical control components as needed.
  • Collaborate with controls engineering on projects.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Document data from maintenance work orders and CMMS.
