Job summary

ConMet, Canton, NC, is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to calibrate, troubleshoot, monitor, analyze, maintain and repair a variety of electric and electronic control equipment to improve system effectiveness and efficiency.

Deuxnd Shift: Monday - Friday; duties include troubleshooting, repairing electrical/electronic components, programming Fanuc robots, and coordinating with vendors for problem solving and optimization.

Qualifications

High school diploma plus 2 years college and/ or trade school.
Minimum 4 years of related job experience, with emphasis on equipment maintenance and repair.
Knowledge of control systems from installation to repair via pneumatic, electrical and electronic methods.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair breakdowns or malfunctions of electrical equipment.
Perform root cause problem identification and implement self-initiated activities to improve process reliability and cycle times.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic components, including sensors, drives, PLCs, motors and motor controllers, servo controllers.
Program and troubleshoot Fanuc robots; perform minor touchups on robotic programs.
Call equipment and/or parts vendors for support in troubleshooting problems and/or optimizing equipment.
