Job summary

HEXPOL Compounding Americas is hiring a Corporate Controls Engineer to support automation across all U.S.-based rubber mixing facilities. You will troubleshoot PLCs, integrate equipment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to keep operations running smoothly.

You will collaborate with plant teams, project engineers and technical staff to support production systems, develop electrical schematics, build panels, and lead automation projects. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in controls/related field; experience may substitute.
• 3–5 years of controls engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs and lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC programs on various platforms.
• Integrate production equipment into various supported operations systems.
• Program and control VFDs via PLC controls and/or locally as needed.
• Develop electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Develop, build and troubleshoot panels
• Support locations remotely on an on‑call basis.
• Assist with the management of projects to support the Project Engineers, as needed.
• Travel may be required to fulfill duties, up to 30%; may include international travel.
