Job summary

Actalent seeks a Controls Engineer to join its automation team in Otsego, MI, designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for custom machines and industrial automation equipment.

The role involves PLC programming, AutoCAD Electrical schematics, system configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and customer-facing support through project lifecycle, with opportunities for growth and hands-on use of modern automation tech.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with industrial automation, systems integration, or manufacturing.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs.

Responsibilities

• PLC programming editing, troubleshooting.
• Creation of electrical schematics with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Configure and support industrial control systems - PLC, HMI, networking.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system and equipment issues in manufacturing and industrial environments.
• System integration - testing, commissioning, and startup of automation projects.
• Customer facing support, clear communication, relationship building, and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
