Job summary

Shaw Industries in Dalton, GA is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to support development and oversight of locally deployed process control solutions as part of broader process engineering responsibilities. Qualifications

1+ year experience with design, installation, and troubleshooting of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
Experience with HMI/SCADA systems (Ignition preferred)
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++)
Bachelor's or Associate degree with hands-on controls/automation experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Project management experience
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Willingness to work some weekends/holidays/off shifts

Responsibilities

Managing electrical and automation projects
Setting and maintaining electrical and automation standards
Troubleshooting and supporting plant equipment and training associates in safe electrical/automation practices
Learning plant processes to facilitate process improvement through automation
