Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, robotics, machine vision and CAD.
• Experience programming ABB or Fanuc robotics; strong PLC/HMI programming skills; knowledge of power, motors & controls.
• Strong computer and network skills and process expertise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Open and frank, keen to see things through to completion.
• Dynamic individual who leads by example.
• Flexible, understands there is more than one way to accomplish a goal.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and have the determination to succeed in a challenging environment.
• Must be a self-starter and work towards project objectives with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable, ergonomic systems and machines.
• Configure systems and database settings for new cells and parts for traceable content.
• Program PLCs, barcode readers, HMIs, Robots, and PCs as necessary.
• Modify and upgrade existing production equipment.
• Develop safeguards and improve team member safety through process improvements.
• Conduct system / equipment training for plant personnel as required.
• Provide trouble shooting assistance to production and maintenance team members.
• Design new equipment or redesign existing equipment, coordinate fabrication, assembly, installation and startup.
• Ensure equipment layouts comply with local and national codes.
