Job summary
Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking an Engineer for Automation and Controls in San Leandro. You will maintain and enhance PLC/SCADA/HMI environments, collaborating with Production, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure safe, reliable operations across plants.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of automation/controls engineering experience (7+ preferred).
- 2+ years embedded in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with system integrators and leading automation scopes on projects.
- Hands-on experience with Rockwell platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix).
- Experience troubleshooting instrumentation and SCADA systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve PLC/SCADA/HMI environments to ensure safe, efficient operations.
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality to keep systems stable and well-documented.
- Lead automation workstreams within capital and improvement projects; coordinate integrators and installers.
- Support IT/OT connectivity and secure data flow between shop floor systems and enterprise tools.
- Drive continuous improvement using KPIs, downtime trends, and historical data.
