Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Control Engineer in Fort Wayne, IN to design, install, and commission automated equipment across expansion sites. You will troubleshoot PLCs, program Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems, and design panels using AutoCAD Electrical.

The role supports automotive, energy, industrial, and commercial sectors, with up to 40% travel to sites in Canada, Tennessee and Franklin, IN. This contract-to-hire position is fully onsite in Fort Wayne and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years in programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Experience with Ignition or other SCADA platforms.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and program PLC applications (Allen-Bradley/Siemens).
• Design panels/schematics with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Collaborate with engineering, trades, and project managers.
• Provide technical support for new automated machinery.
• Interface with vendors to obtain parts.
• Assist with machinery integration to Ignition.
