Job summary

Madix, Inc. is seeking an experienced automation and maintenance professional to design and troubleshoot HMIs, develop PLC ladder logic, and oversee installation and commissioning of new automated equipment.

You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure safe, efficient startup and continuous improvement across processes. The role emphasizes hands-on fault finding, preventive maintenance, and accurate data collection for real-time monitoring and historical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or related technical field preferred.
5+ years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician or similar role; robotics, lasers, metal fabrication equipment experience considered.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
Strong background in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) and knowledge of relay logic.
Familiarity with AutoCAD for electrical/mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

HMI programming design, development, and troubleshooting for user-friendly interfaces.
Develop, modify, and optimize PLC ladder logic and related control programs.
Install new production equipment and integrate sensors, robotics, and automated systems.
Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to ensure smooth installation and start-up.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues to minimize production interruptions; perform root cause analysis.
