Job summary

Blue-Signal-Search is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to join a fast-growing industrial equipment manufacturer. You will own automation for custom capital equipment, developing PLC, CNC, and servo-based control solutions, and leading electrical design from concept through startup.

You will collaborate with mechanical, assembly, and service teams, produce wiring diagrams and control narratives, and support field installations and commissioning. Occasional travel of 20–30% is expected.

Qualifications

Experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs in industrial environments.
Hands-on with FANUC PMC and Ladder III.
Experience with CNC automation and precision machine control.
Knowledge of servo systems and motion control applications.
Track record of machine commissioning and startup support.
Ability to read and create electrical schematics and controls documentation.
Experience with custom machinery or capital equipment manufacturers.
Strong troubleshooting skills and autonomous work style.

Responsibilities

Develop PLC, CNC, and motion control solutions for customized industrial equipment.
Support electrical design, startup, commissioning, and on-site troubleshooting.
Work with mechanical/assembly/service teams from concept to handoff.
Create/update electrical schematics, control narratives, and technical docs.
Tune servo-driven systems and resolve controls issues for precision automation.
Travel to customer sites for installations, commissioning, training, and support (20–30%).
Assist with BOM, component selection, and practical controls design decisions.
