Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an instrumentation and controls engineer in the United States to design and deliver basic to moderately complex control systems, including PIDs, architectures, and control descriptions, for water and wastewater projects.

You will lead and mentor junior staff, review drawings, assist with testing, and support proposals while traveling up to 40% as needed. A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Create instrumentation and control system designs including PIDs, architectures and control descriptions.
• Develop HMI graphics and PLC programming, and test/startup of control systems.
• Review basic to highly complex shop drawings and assist with testing oversight.
• Lead staff and provide direction and mentoring for junior staff; support proposals.
