PTS Advance is seeking an experienced Automation & Controls Engineer in Orlando to design, program, commission, and support PLC/HMI based systems across multiple platforms. You will work on industrial networks, protective relays, and cybersecurity initiatives, collaborating with customers and field teams.

The role covers full project lifecycle from design through startup, with travel about 30–35% and a hybrid work schedule in a dynamic industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or Computer Engineering.
• 3–8 years experience in industrial automation and controls.
• Hands-on PLC/HMI development on Emerson/Allen-Bradley/Schneider Electric platforms.
• Experience from design through commissioning and customer support.
• Strong OT networking and cybersecurity background.
• Willingness to travel 30–35%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program PLC-based automation systems across multiple platforms.
• Design and configure HMIs with alarming, trending, and integration.
• Troubleshoot industrial networks and run commissioning activities.
• Support FATs, SATs, site commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
• Create clear technical documentation.
