Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced professional to design instrumentation and control systems, including PLC and HMI work, for projects that may involve water/wastewater disciplines. You will develop P&IDs, control system architectures, and related specifications while supporting testing, startup, and project delivery.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Create basic to moderately complex instrumentation, controls and related systems designs using 3D/4D design practices.
• Review component drawings and assist with testing oversight.
• Develop P&IDs and control descriptions for programming.
• Lead and mentor junior staff and review their work.
• Assist in proposal sections and support Marketing/Automation strategy.
