Job summary

Alamance Foods Inc. in Burlington, NC is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to lead the design, programming, integration, and reliability of automated systems across our manufacturing operations.

You will provide advanced technical support to plant and maintenance teams, drive capital project execution, and serve as the site’s SME on PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS platforms. Strong troubleshooting and CI mindset required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical/Controls/Mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of controls engineering experience.
• 2 years of electrical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and program automated systems including PLC and SCADA.
• Lead hardware and software integration on automated equipment.
• Provide technical support to plant personnel and maintain engineering documents (CAD, drawings).
• Perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures for maintenance losses.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop PMs/CI initiatives for reliability.
• Support Autonomous Maintenance through operator training and equipment condition checks.
