Working at EMUS as an Automation Controls Engineer gives you the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge and skills in a fast-paced, safety-conscious manufacturing environment. In this vital role, you will assist higher-level engineers in the toner department with tasks to evaluate, select, order, install, set up, design modifications for, test, troubleshoot, improve the performance of, and establish maintenance procedures for manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Investigate, plan, prepare RFQ, install and set-up equipment with industrial standards used in chemical manufacturing processes (fine powder or similar products).
  2. Recommend equipment modifications to improve production efficiency, manufacturing techniques, and yields for existing products.
  3. Participate in continuous improvement of current equipment to enhance performance and reliability.
  4. Design and fabricate or coordinate external fabrication of new and replacement parts.
  5. Support and perform Kaizen activities as a control engineer across all divisions of toner manufacturing (Toner Process, Toner Filling, Assembly).
  6. Support proper functioning of compressors and air dryers.
  7. Troubleshoot routine to moderately complex electrical and control system problems of manufacturing equipment.
  8. Support the sustainment of existing production lines related to ECR-ECOs, product quality, process improvements, and safety issues.
  9. Investigate root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective measures.
  10. Create and update troubleshooting, start-up, equipment setup documents, and procedures.
  11. Develop and modify preventive maintenance schedules based on equipment manuals.
  12. Prepare and present detailed reports on root cause analysis and data.
  13. Create training materials for production and maintenance personnel on equipment usage and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and software engineering principles relevant to automation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for technical plans, blueprints, and electrical layouts.
  • Ability to program robots (Fanuc, Epson) and vision systems (Keyence) is a plus.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing processes or powder handling is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking) and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong mathematical skills, especially in data analysis.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime.
Experience:
