Your expertise in electrical design will come to life as you create schematics and drawings using electrical CAD software, while also wiring electrical control panels to meet specific project requirements. You will program control systems that utilize PLCs, motion controllers, and HMIs, ensuring optimal performance. On-site installation and commissioning of automation equipment will be a key responsibility, alongside diagnosing and replacing faulty electrical and electronic components.
Your ability to interpret mechanical design drawings from SolidWorks will help you address electrical requirements effectively. Additionally, you will research supplier products for assembly components and develop comprehensive electrical bills of materials, while also overseeing the quality of work by assemblers and technicians. Collaboration with Sales Engineers will further enhance quote preparation as needed.
What matters most
To excel as a Full-Time Automation Controls Engineer at CNC Solutions, you will need a blend of education and experience, including an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in the automation industry. While programming knowledge of robotics is not required, it is a valuable asset.
