Job description

Summary

Address the changing business needs while delivering robust, secure, and stable systems. Overall responsibilities include installation, upgrade, support, and maintenance of OT Systems. Maintain and manage technical support contracts. Oversee growth and maintenance of all layers of the network. Adhere to and coordinate with company technology standards. Program automation updates and changes as required by the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Responsible for the day-to-day operations related to operational technology and SCADA systems.
2. Troubleshoot system interruptions or network issues causing disruptions to plant operations.
3. Coordinate and communicate with corporate support staff.
4. Maintain all systems connected to the network, including Controlled Entry, NVR video, Industrial Systems for manufacturing control and monitoring, Paging systems, Internal Remote access, Backup and Recovery, Switching and Routing, VMWare, SAN storage.
5. Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements and protocols.
6. Analyze network needs and contribute to the design, integration, and installation of network architecture.
7. Install and maintain LAN hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring.
8. Coordinate issues with local management, discuss scope with corporate management, and communicate resolution timelines.
9. Implement programming updates and changes in the SCADA system as requested by plant areas.
10. Train employees on programming in the SCADA system.
11. Review patches or recommendations related to the contracted scope.
12. Test availability mechanisms (HA/DR), including backup restore tests, at least annually.
13. Apply proactive maintenance according to program standards.

Includes all systems connected to the network: Controlled Entry, NVR video, Industrial Systems, Plant Overhead Paging, Internal Remote access, Support requests, Remote Support, Backup and Recovery, Antivirus, Switching and Routing, VMWare, SAN Storage, Databases, Veeam backup and replication.

Client Devices and Peripherals

PCs, Barcode scanners, Tablets interfacing with operations.

Education and Experience Requirements

Preferred Experience

Experience in a manufacturing environment and PLC knowledge are preferred. Reporting skills using Dream Reports and SSRS are also preferred.
