Job summary

Lonza Inc. is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design and modify control systems, based on process diagrams and requirements. You will collaborate with a global team on standards and new technologies, while configuring PLC/SCADA and drive/servo systems.

The role includes maintaining documentation, supporting cGMP validation, and providing after-hours plant technical guidance on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics with an emphasis on automation.
Strong communication skills to manage client expectations and communicate project status.
Knowledge of electrical circuit theory, control circuit design, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
Ability to safely troubleshoot control electrical wiring.
SDLC knowledge and test plan development for software quality.

Responsibilities

Designs control systems or modifications based on diagrams, requirements, and P&IDs.
Collaborates with global controls engineering on projects and standards.
Supports, configures and replicates PLC/SCADA systems, drives, and vision systems.
Maintains software/hardware configuration information and documentation; supports validation.
Communicates project progress with the Control Systems Manager.
Provides after-hours support on a rotating schedule.
